Bedroom Furniture Prices in Egypt (2026): What You Are Paying For
Bedroom furniture prices in Egypt vary so widely that two quotations for "the same" bedroom can be far apart. Most of that gap comes from things you cannot see in a photo: the board inside the doors, the thickness of the shelves, the hinges and runners, the finish, and whether delivery and installation are included. This guide explains what drives the price of a bedroom in 2026, gives Khashab's typical starting prices, and shows how to get an accurate quote and compare quotations fairly.
What drives the price of a bedroom
Materials
Materials are the biggest single factor. Furniture made with natural wood and natural wood veneer costs more than furniture made entirely from economical boards, because the raw material costs more and needs more careful work. At Khashab, bodies and plain doors are natural wood with natural oak or walnut veneer. Doors with grooves, routing or decorative work are made from MDF, because its even surface keeps the lacquer finish smooth over the carved detail. Our page on materials and construction explains this in more detail, and the guide to natural wood vs MDF vs beech compares the common materials on the market.
When you read a quotation, ask what each part is made of: the body, the doors, the shelves, the back panel and the drawer bottoms. Two wardrobes can look identical in a photo while one uses thicker, better boards throughout.
Finish
A good lacquer finish is applied in several coats, with sanding between them, and needs time to cure. That labour shows in the price and in how the furniture looks after a few years. A cheap finish can look fine on delivery day and then show uneven colour, rough edges or peeling. See our guide to choosing a wood finish for how different finishes behave.
Size and made-to-measure work
Bigger pieces use more material and take longer to build. A 240 cm wardrobe costs more than a 150 cm one, and a 180 × 200 cm bed more than a 120 × 200 cm bed. Made-to-measure work, such as a wardrobe built into a niche or a bed for an unusual mattress, is priced from the drawing, so it is quoted rather than taken from a price list. The guide to bed and mattress sizes helps you decide which bed size you actually need.
Number of pieces
A "bedroom" can mean a bed and two bedside tables, or a full set with a wardrobe, dresser, mirror and chest of drawers. When you compare bedroom prices, list the pieces in each offer side by side. A low price for a set that leaves out the wardrobe is not cheaper than it looks.
Hardware and storage
Hinges, drawer runners, handles and lift mechanisms are used every day for years. Soft-close hinges and full-extension runners cost more than basic ones, and you notice the difference quickly. Storage features add cost too: drawers under the bed, a lift-up base, wardrobe drawers, trouser racks and internal lighting all add parts and work. Our wardrobe interior guide helps you choose only the fittings you will use.
Delivery, installation and lead time
Check whether delivery and installation are included. At Khashab, delivery within Cairo and Giza usually costs EGP 1,500 and includes installation, while delivery elsewhere in Egypt is quoted separately and installation outside Cairo and Giza isn't available. Everything is made to order, so lead time is part of the deal as well: typically about 25 days for individual pieces, about 30 days for storage units and about 45 days for a complete room, with the team confirming the exact schedule.
Why some bedrooms cost less
You will find cheaper ready-made bedroom sets in Egypt, and there are clear reasons for the difference. Ready-made sets are produced in large runs in fixed sizes, often from economical boards throughout, with thinner panels, basic hardware and a simpler finish. Some are sold flat-packed for the customer to assemble. That can be a sensible choice for a short-term need or a tight budget. Furniture made to order, with natural wood and veneer and a multi-coat lacquer finish, costs more to make and is built to last much longer. Our guide to choosing quality wooden furniture lists the signs to look for in any showroom.
Khashab's typical starting prices
Every design on our site shows its published price, and custom sizes are quoted. As a general guide:
- Adult bedrooms usually start from above EGP 90,000.
- Children's rooms are typically about EGP 80,000.
- Storage cabinets and wardrobes usually start from above EGP 10,000.
The final price depends on the size, the number of pieces and the options you choose. You can browse complete bedroom sets, wardrobes and wooden beds to see published prices for each design.
How to get an accurate quote
- Send your dimensions. Measure the walls where the furniture will go and send them with a link to the design you like and your location. A simple sketch with doors, windows and sockets marked helps.
- Receive a quotation. We price the pieces, sizes and options you asked for, and list delivery separately.
- Book the measurement visit. A site measurement visit (EGP 2,000) confirms the final measurements before production starts, so the furniture fits the room as it really is.
If you are planning a wardrobe, the cabinet designer lets you try widths, doors and interior layouts first, so the quotation reflects what you want from the start.
How to compare quotations fairly
Put two or three quotations next to each other and check the same points in each:
- Materials for each part: body, doors, shelves, back panel, drawers. Natural veneer or a printed surface?
- Thickness: of the body panels and especially of long shelves.
- Hardware: hinge and runner type, soft-close or not, full-extension or not.
- Finish: type of lacquer, number of coats, and whether the edges and inside surfaces are finished.
- Pieces and sizes: exactly which items are included, with their dimensions.
- Delivery and installation: included or extra, and where.
- Lead time: when the furniture will be ready.
- Warranty: how long and what it covers. Khashab gives a 5-year warranty.
A quotation that leaves these out is hard to compare. Ask for the missing details in writing before you decide.
